Transactions being edited - cannot reconcile

I cannot reconcile inventory because the GP believes transactions are being edited.  However, there are no unposted transactions and all users are out of the system.  Does anyone know how I can determine what GP thinks is being edited, and correct this?

Thanks,

Palma

Hi Ian - thanks for your response!

I'm feeling pleased this morning - I found Knowledgebase article 865739, followed the steps (which included what you listed above), and was able to remove the locked record.  And now I've moved on to closing the rest of our modules for 2009.

That's a great note above about reconciling SOP and POP before inventory.  I run those in that order on the first day of each month, and have done so again for this year end.

Hi, can you post the exact error message you are getting? If it is because 'Users are Editing', you can try the following:

Have everyone log out of GP. Log into MSSQL and run the following against the DYNAMICS database:

    SELECT * FROM ACTIVITY

If you get any results, note the user id(s) and investigate to make sure that the user is actually physically logged out. If so, then run the following against the DYNAMICS database:

    DELETE ACTIVITY
    DELETE SY00800

Log back in to GP (just you)...and see can you run the reconcile.

Also note that before reconciling Inventory, first reconcile SOP and then POP.

    Best regards,
