Dynamics 365 Triggering a Workflow for a Particular Form

Hi Guyz . I have a small requirement. In Lead Entity I have four Different Forms(Ex A, B,C,D)  . And i Have a workflow Triggering on record Creation of Lead entity. so i want this workflow to Trigger only on A and not on B, C,D forms . Is this possible?

    Hi,

    It is not possible to get the context for the form used during creation of a record in workflow. You need to do some customization do achieve this.  

    I think the following should work-

    1) Create a field to store the value of the form types. In your case its A, B, C & D

    2) On Form A, Save event, set the value of this field.

    3) In your workflow, check if this field has value or not.

    Hi,

    Nothing to configure direct but as a workaround you can change your workflow to trigger on field change instead of create and make sure to select fields which is available only on A and if there is no specific field available, create a custom field and set it on create only (http://himbap.com/blog/?p=2811)

    I suggest you follow the work around suggested by Ravi as there is no OOTB offering,

    you need to set the value of that customised field to respective value on form load by using business rule and then trigger your workflow on record create or modified and use check condition to trigger the respective workflow within
