Next CRM Release Feature Deprecation

In a recent CRMBlog post the CRM team indicated that support for several tools and system configurations will be removed from CRM.

One of the items that stood out most was the drop of support for "CRM 2011 forms that were updated in CRM 2013"  We've supported a fair number of upgrades and also have taken on clients who have been upgraded.

My question to the group is:  If a form has been migrated and renamed - how can I know if the form is using the "new" or "old" form system?  Is it simply by seeing if I can add the "new style social" pane versus the old style "notes" or is there another way?

A few of us felt the wording on the timing for the drop of support was open to interpretation - but from another channel we confirmed this doesn't happen until the release *after* the Spring 2014 Wave [Fall 2014 Wave I'm guessing] but it will still be bad form to migrate a client today and then tell them we need to fix forms again in 4-6 months.

Keep in mind as of now there are only a partial list of "upgraded" entities that even have the form form available.

If the description of the form hasn't changed it should say something like "Updated default <entity> form." But if both the form name and description changed you may indeed have to open the form and check.

As for the timing, this would be around the "Vega" time frame in fall 2014 (clarified here:http://blogs.msdn.com/b/crminthefield/archive/2014/05/19/important-information-about-supported-configurations-in-the-next-version-of-crm.aspx)
