Can I copy a company without the transaction data?

Is it possible to make a copy of a company in Business Central without all the transaction data? I just want the company with all the setup but no transactions, a clean copy?

Hi,

Just try this also.

Use "Export to a Data File" and "Import from a Data File functionality."

You can see multiple checkboxes and hence accordingly you can export/import your data.

I use this method as well to copy company. Not the best, but it worked.

Hi,

Like Gulshan says, you can't do this without customizations. But to achieve something similar, you could set up configuration packages in Rapid Start to export master tables like Customer, Item, Vendor, etc. Setting up configuration packages:

And then of course you would also need to include setup tables. Depending on your setup, that could be workable, or maybe unpractical, but I think that once you have made a set of configuration packages that works for you, you can use them again and again. Maybe worth considering,

Nope. Not possible in base Business Central. Customization would be inevitable for this.
