Report Writer Text Reports Printing in MICR

I’m experiencing an issue with GP printing all text based Report Writer reports in MICR font.

Some of the items I’ve tried unsuccessfully are:

- Moved the REPORTS.DIC file locally and rebuilt it (even attempted the same with the FORMS.DIC while at it).

- Creating a Notepad file using courier fonts and printing this to printer (XPS and printer).

- Remove all 3rd party products from the DYNAMICS.SET file

- Reinstalling the GP application

- Printer substitution fonts verified

- Printing report to file and then XPS

Any other ideas on what could be causing the issue?

    Must be a non-proportional font

    Must be installed on the machine printing the report

    Add to bottom of dex.ini:

    FontCourier New=new_font_name

    Tolerence = 1

    MinMilHeight=200 (or whatever - default is 150)

    To create the DEBUGLOG.TXT

    Add to bottom of dex.ini:

    DebugFonts=TRUE

    Still, this setting may not work on your printer.

    What kind of printer are you using and what are your dex.ini settings?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    I have a client who just started having this problem over the last week.  No new installs or updates were done to her computer.  She is printing to three different HP printers and all three are printing in the MICR type font.  I have added the DEBUGFONT to her Dex.ini and she sent me the report but I'm having a hard time deciphering it.  She is on GP2013 SP1 and has had MEKORMA installed for months.  Any ideas?

    The issue I was experiencing was that someone onsite had installed the incorrect MICR font (using Forms Printer where you purchase your font, in this case Adobe). This wreaked havoc, acting as a substitution font for any printing.

    How did you get rid of it?  I am thinking that a recent Adobe update is the culprit in this case.
