Hi,

Do anybody have a workaround to populate the Event URL in case of Custom Event portal deployment? There is always a specific solution with JS on the event form but it can be more compliant to use OOB functionnality if it exists :)

Thanks !

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Roman,

Does the Custom Event portal you mentioned mean an external website?

If yes, the URL depends on where you host the site. You can store the URL in the event record by selecting the Custom event URL check box and then filling in the Event URL field.

It can be found in the following section:

Set up an event website (Dynamics 365 Marketing) | Microsoft Docs

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Hello Nya,

    Thanks for you reply!

1/ Yes the customer hosts downloaded and customized angular web app on an external web site (like : https://customersite.com/xxx/)

2/ If I check the Custom URL check box it force me to put the event url manually and it's exactly that i would avoid :)

2/ My question is how to (and where) store the url of the external web site to avoid the specific dev to auto-populate the Event Url for external web site (i.e reproduce the same behavior of auto generation of event url as for the sites hosted on power apps portals)

    hope it's more clear ;)

    regards,

    Roman

    Hi Roman,

Have you tried to create a workflow or flow to update the Event URL field automatically, so that it can be auto-populated in some conditions?
