Exporting and reimporting TASKS

When exporting the activity Tasks and reimporting the adjusted CSV file i can not import it correctly with the import wizard. If i use the attribute Task it seems that there is no correct field for the (hidden) export ID code and therefore importing fails. Thanks already for your comments!

    Hi,

I suppose you are using CRM 2013. At the time of exporting the data, are you selecting the option "Make this data available for re-import" ? Because once you select the option, you don't have to make a csv file. You can add required columns in the view before exporting, export and save the file, open the file in excel, make the changes to columns and then re-import.

    Hi,

Don't convert the file format into CSV. Default file format for Export and Import would be .xml file. But if you open the file using excel you can see the same excel/.csv layout. So, do not change the format of the downloaded file. Just save the file and open it using excel, do the data modifications save and upload. If you change the file format it cannot be used to reimport.

Which CRM version are you working with? You may not see the 'make this data avialable for re-import' depending on which CRM version you are using.

Regarding the exported excel file, you can leave it as a .xlsx file. From the upload data file button: "Supported file types: XML Spreadsheet 2003 (.xml), .csv, .txt, .xlsx, and .zip".

FYI, you can change the file type via Excel's Save As.

    Hi,

If you are using CRM 2013 as you have mentioned in tags. You should be getting a small checkbox as shown in image below
