Trying to create dashboard but don't see an entity in my Record Type

I am trying to create a new dashboard in CRM 2016, but when I click New and go to the Add Component area, I don't see my Contract Lines entity in the Record Type drop down.  I see everything else but that one....what would cause me to not see this entity?

    AFAIK, You cannot display Contract Lines in dashboards directly, and don't think there is any type of workaround.

    I did see this forum answer, which might work for you, but except for this, I am not sure:

    Hi,

    Are you using CRM online or on premise ?? if you are using on premise you can look for this workaround: nishantrana.me/.../enable-sub-grid-for-contract-line-contractdetail-entity-in-crm-2011-3  

    Otherwise you should be able to create a custom html web resource to implement your requirements.

    My question wasn't about subgrides...I am trying to add contract lines into a dashboard and it doesn't appear in the list to select like all of the other entities/activities.
