Client has upgraded and moved GP2016 to server 2016 in hosted environment. Users access GP via a remote desktop on a Remote Desktop Server (Windows 2016).
Regularly one or more users experiences a series on error messages when logging in. The issue is that the affected user, when launching GP, cannot create files in the C:\users\Username\appdata\local\temp folder. There are a number of *.dat & *.idx files which are placed at launch. Deleting the user profile, and having it re-create when user logs in solves the issue for a day or more. Some users are not affected, others, it happens every day.
The hosted environment is Azure. However, the servers are a part of the conventional Active Directory which is on premises. GP is run from a conventional server and full SQL version.
Has anyone run into this before and can offer a trail for resolution?
John
