CRM 365 Mail merge Letter - suppress blank fields or replace

Hello

i am creating a mail merge letter campaign , however how do i suppress the space/gap if there is no salutation/title and also if the first name is empty i would like to replace it with another value (there is a if/replace option) but then I also would like to remove the surname for those letters

any suggestions please?

I think we can't suppress the space if the value is null

answer is to use the greeting line - that way if the salutation is blank, it will automatically move the words up and not leave a blank
