Hi,

I am trying to upgrade from GP2010 SP2 to GP2010 SP4 then to GP2015R2. Did not have major issues when upgrading from GP2010 SP2 to GP2010 SP4. It went smoothly. However when I am trying to run GP2015 utility to upgrade from GP2010 SP4 to GP2015 R2. I got error as below when trying to update modified forms and reports after Dynamcis and Company databases upgrade.

I did use C:Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Dynamics/GP2015/Dynamics.set file as lunch file and picked original Dynamics.dic file from original C:Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Dynamics/GP2010 folder.

Here is error log from Update140725_Microsoft_Dynamics_GP.log file.

--------------------------------------------------
Old Product Dict.  : :C:Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Dynamics/GP2010/Dynamics.dic
New Product Dict.  : :C:Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Dynamics/GP2010/Dynamics.dic
Reports Dictionary : :C:Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Dynamics/GP2010/Data/REPORTS.DIC
From Version       : 11.0.2390
To Version         : 14.0.725
Input File         : :C:Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Dynamics/GP2015/REP0.TXT
Log File           : Update140725_Microsoft_Dynamics_GP.log
Delete Files       : True
Read 3628 lines and 1037 commands from input.
Error on line 3628: Unknown report: 'Build Check File Exception'(Command 894)
The Input file has errors.

Please advise what I did wrong and how to fix this.

Thanks in advance.

Huan

    Hi,

The error is telling that Build Check File Exception is not available in the destination dictionary. Please Make sure that is report is available.

It looks like you made few changes/removed Build Check File Exception report.

If not re-create Reports.Dic and then try to upgrade.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks everybody!

I am going to try to upgrade all the other components first then import reports and forms from the export.

    Thanks,

    Huan
