Count the Service Activities scheduled for next months every 15 days

Hi everyone!

I have this requirement.

I need every specific date or half month on the 15th , to check the number of scheduled service activities for next month. 

If that number is below a threshold , to get notification in CRM in order to know that i have to make new offers for my customers.

Anyone has any idea how can this be done? I was thinking a workflow to run with timeout step but i need to somehow get all service activities count. I have the views for that but they don't help much in this case.

    You can use workflow and develop custom workflow activity that will do all required calulations and return result - msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg309745.aspx

    I would prefer scheduler application in this scenario .Using Quartz.NET you can trigger scheduler logic and

    in logic ,you can do whatever you want ,in your scenario you can calculate Number of Scheduled Service Activity and send email.
