How do you create an auto email batch job on a standard report?

We are trying to create a batch job that will email to different vendors an open order status report.  Is there a way to this this automatically?  We know how to set up a batch job, but are unsure how to make the report break by vendor and email to the correct vendor number.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks, Julie

We ended up going back to our partner on this as it was a little over my head.

    Hi, Joris dG.

Thanks for the response.  I'm having a little bit of difficultity in following.  Have you ran across anything that provides step by step instructions?

You will have to create your own batch job that allows you to pick a report and set printer settings. Then the batch job when it runs can start the report passing the printer settings. The printer settings should set it to print to PDF, and then your batch job can send that PDF over SMTP (rather than the standard print email settings that pop up an outlook client).

If you need it split out by data, you'd need to pass in queries or records to filter. This would be report-specific at this point.

We've done that in the past similar to what is described above, but then it queries for example the vendor master, starts the report in question having it print to PDF, then it takes the email from the vendor it initially queried and then emails the PDF to that vendor.
