Trying to add Email Templates to the new UCI

Hi,

I want to add a link to Email Templates on our new UCI Site Map and that works fine and I'm able to browse all templates but when I want to enter a form i get the following error:

Read-only and the form looks really strange. I added the Email Templates entity to the artifact of the site map,

Permission setting should be OK and even me as a system admin are not able to see the email template form. However if I do it through the old classic way under settings I'm able to edit email templates. So it seems to be an issue with the UCI.

regards

Martin

    Hello,

As you said it looks like a bug of UCI. I would recommend to get in touch with Microsoft and open a ticket.

Alternatively you can try to change a template using "Maker" experience - https://make.powerapps.com

    Hi Martin,

    This is by design.

The email template entity is currently read-only in the Unified Interface.

    From this official document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/about-unified-interface#read-only-entities-on-unified-interface

The following are entities that are currently read-only in Unified Interface:

    • KnowledgeArticleViews
    • KnowledgeBaseRecord
    • SharePointDocument
    • SharePointSite
    • SLA
    • SLAKPIInstance
    • Template
    • Contract
    • Contract Lines
    • Contract Templates
    • Case Resolution
    • Service

To edit an email template in UCI, I would recommend using advanced find to open its edit form.

Open the advanced find, select Look for Email Templates, click the Result. Then you can click on the record to edit it.
