we want to develop a connection between a self-written tool and BC, to be able to  post Production (and assembly) orders in the erp, that are triggered by an event in the external tool.

are there any examples of this, preferrably in python?

I am not looking for a drop-in solution but rather on what is the best practice way to approach this.

any input is highly appreciated!

    Hello,

We currently do not have dedicated Dev support via the Dynamics 365 Business Central forums, but I wanted to provide you some additional resources to assist. If you need assistance with debugging or coding I would recommend discussing this on one of our communities.

    www.yammer.com/dynamicsnavdev

    dynamicsuser.net/.../developers

I will open this up to the community in case they have something to add.

    Thanks.
