ItemSite error 3007

I have an inventory item that on the site record the sub-accounts are wrong.   When I change the sub and attempt to save the record, I get the error;

System Message 3007:  This record exists, therefore it cannot be added at this time.

I even updated the subaccount in SQL, but it still does not show up on the screen (10.255.00).   How can I get this corrected?

    Jennifer;

    I finally figured it out.   In the ItemSite table, the CpnyID field was blank.   I updated this field and now the screen shows the correct account numbers.   Thank you so much for your suggestions.

    Ruby,

    If you look at the related record/s in the acctxref table, do you see anything concerning?  The next step would be runnning a SQL Profiler trace to identify what the system is actually looking at to cause the 3007.  This is something I could help you with through a service request, if you can't identify it on your own.

    Sorry, Jennifer, this did not make any difference.   If you have any other ideas...

    Ruby,

    Is it possible there is a company mismatch between the company id logged into when making the change and the company id in the acctxref table in system db?  If multi company, try logging into the company id found in the acctxref table to make the change to the subaccount.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Jennifer Spitler
