Quote to Order hit Ratio

Hello, I'm somewhat new to my current company and GP as well. I'm trying to find a way to generate a list or report that will show me the ratio of successful (or transferred) orders that originated from quotations. In my company, we have a good deal of orders that come automatically from customers. However, I'm trying to find a way to track this "hit ratio" of the actual incoming quotes that are submitted to our customers. Thanks for the help!

    Cool,

Then you should be good to go by analyzing the previous document number/type as advised by Vaidhy Mohan.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Leslie,

The procedure here is to go Quote->Order->Invoice so it's traceable. However, sometimes we get purchase orders from customers (we have a internal spare parts catalogue some customers order from) so the PO's are issued to us automatically. In this case, no quote is created. With that being said, I was looking to only see which Quotes are actually transferred to orders.

Do you ever transfer from a quote directly to an invoice, or an Order to a backorder?

There are several ways to achieve this.

One straightforward approach, under ideal scenario, would be to link quote and order using "SOP Number" & "Original Number" fields on relevant tables.

If you find an order with "Original Number" being a quote, then you know that the sales quote had been won and converted. If you find a quote being moved to history with "Void Status" being 1, then you may conclude that the quote was either lost or cancelled. If any quote being kept open (work status) despite it's been lost, you'd have a hard time to consider that as either lost or cancelled. It all depends on users and how to they treat the sales quotes.

Hope this gives you some idea around what you are looking for.
