Does anyone know if it is possible to keep the Extender Inquiries and Windows from being added to the Additional Menu on the Sales Transaction Entry screen?

Hello Jeanenne,
I checked on this and if a Extender window and/or inquiry was setup on the Sales Transaction Entry window, it will appear in the additional menu.
Let us know if you have any further questions on this.
Thanks
Is there a way to keep it from being added to the additional menu?
I'm not really sure what you are wanting to do. If you setup an Extender window or inquiry window attached to the Sales Transaction Entry window, but don't want it to appear in the additional menu then how do you want the user's to get to the Extender window/Inquiry window?
If you don't want certain user's the see the extender window, then you can control access to that via security, but other than that, there is no way to prevent it from being added to the additional menu.
Perhaps you can give more detail on exactly what you are trying to accomplish and maybe we can give you a better answer.

Here is what we are trying to do. We want to take certain item notes and have them pop-up when that particular item is entered onto a sales order. So I created an extender window for the item maintenance screen to use to hold the note. Then I added an inquiry for each item that has a note and assigned it to the Sales Transaction Entry form and the Line_Scroll window. I tied all of the inquiries to a window group and set the options to auto open on field exit of item number. So when this specific item number is entered on the sales order, a window pops up and diplays the note. But all of these inquiry windows are being added to the additional menu item on the sales transaction screen and looks like a lot of clutter. I was trying to prevent these items from being added to the menu.
I have the same question. Did you ever resolve this issue?
No, I have not been able to resolve this.
Hi Jeanenne,
When the Extender objects are created they are coded to appear in the additional menu. There is no way to get around this unless you could somehow remove that part of the code.
Thanks,
Jonathan
That's what I figured. Thanks.
Wouldn't Window Groups be more helpful if they helped reduce the number of items in the Additional Menu lists?
