Location Directive Actions strategy is Location aging FIFO and available data from locations is getting deleted

Hi Everyone,

I have a requirement where I need to temporarily disable Fields in Location profile to resolve a bug issue. However, when I am disabling Fields : Enable item in location, Enable location activity date and time AND Enable location status, it is also removing/deleting data in the locations.

Location Directive Actions Strategy is Location aging FIFO. Hence, If data is not available about Item, Aging date, Location status for LOCATIONS. I think Location Directive then wont correctly use strategy based on FIFO.

Is there anyway to avoid removal of data from these 3 fields for Locations when I am disabling/reenabling from Location profile?

Thanks in Advance :)

    Hi Laurens,

I had actually already tried this by moving data in UAT for testing and there is no way to stop data being deleted as soon as above mentioned fields are disabled. I did try with some other approaches but looks like standard functionality is designed that way only.

Thank you for your help :)

    Hi Gaurav,

I think that is not possible. Would not be an option to perform the test with a new location & location profile? Or copy the database to other environment for testing?

    Regards,

    Laurens
