Making pro forma sales invoice same as sales invoice report layout

Hey community, 

I want to ask that how can make the pro forma invoice layout and posted sales invoice layout as there are some field that are present in posted sales invoice report layout but not in pro forma invoice layout. All the below mentioned field are not there in pro forma invoice but are present in sales invoice. how can I use the same layout for both. Kindly help. or how can I get the field in pro forma invoice layout as in sales invoice layout.

    Hi Muhammad,

    Please ask your development Partner to make changes for you. 

    Also, you can modified Report layout from Custom Report Layout by identifying what is report id. You can export Report layout and do changes in Report Builder. You can also add field from Report dataset, If fields are not in Report dataset then you have to add it with AL development.

    Were you able to fix it? I'm looking for the same solution, I'm using ER but it prints me both different layouts

    Yes I was able to fix it. I extended the ProForma Invoice layout and added required fields in it and then change the layout of the invoice.

    Hello, thank you for responding. Could I ask you for the steps to configure it? I can't seem to find a way to set up the pro forma invoice. The two are printed differently. From your message, I understood that you were able to modify both invoices. I know how to modify the invoice, but not the pro forma invoice.

    hey, the thing is that both sales invoice and proforma invoice are different layouts. If you want Proforma invoice to be same as Sales invoice then in VS code extend the existing Proforma invoice report and add the fields you need that are already present in Sales Invoice report. Then run the code. Download template of both from "Custom Report Layout" in Business Central. Then copy the content and design of Sales Invoice layout to Proforma Invoice layout. Then using XML Mapping pane insert the necessary field and then finally import it again on business central. Hope this will work. Thank you
