SQLNCLI error during Offline Sync

Posted on by 120

THis error just started popping up at one of the stores we maintain.

I installed the full SQL on the register and it still doesn't want to sync the offline DB.

I does this on both Registers , I am wondering if it's the Server causing the problem and not the registers.

how to remove bankrupt customers from A/R file but keep track of balance

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the problem in more detail. Maybe you can suggest a solution. The client wants the customer off of the Accounts receivable detail report. Although the customer has zero balance and the filter of the report is balance <> 0 it is still showing on the report. I do not know for sure but I think the client did a type "DC" credit  adjustment to the account for the same amount of a "TR"  line item. Then for some reason known only to GOD and themselves they did a credit AND debit adjust again for the full amount. So two debits and two credits for the same amount canceling out everything to zero but it is still showing on the report.

    Item #2

the accounts of the two bankrupt customers are no longer recievables. They need to not be in the recievables report. They are uncollectable. How does one move that which was a recievable to somewhere where it will be accounted for but not seen as a recievable. Bankruptcy in the comments line will not remove it from the A/R account.

Thank you in advance for any help you or anyone else can provide in this matter.

    Convoluted,

Clear your browser's cache including Cookies. Click on the Sign In in the upper right when you're on that "not authorized" page.  Glad they "fixed" it last week!

    Todd offered this, this morning too;

We are also seeing issues with logging in; and have found that in addition to Jeff's method you should be able to click on the Sign in to Forums link on the following page to get them to work:

I found out what it was, for some strange reason with 2008 R2 you would have to open up 1433 on the server in TCP and UDP, don't ask me why that screws up the offline sync but my guess it needs that for incoming and outgoing syncs

Also check that the network cards aren't set to turn off during inactivity - my network places - right click the network connection - properties - configure - power management - uncheck "allow computer to turn off this device to save power"

Jeff - are you able to log in to the partner site (http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/partnerdynamicsrms)

For the past several days I'm getting a "You're not authorized to perform this action" reply.  I'm signed in, it just won't take me to the partner site.

    Thanks.

    Kevin,

Did you install the 2008 R2 client and SMO files on the machine? http://tinyurl.com/3akqq5a

Let's get off this stupid a$$ forum as I _really_ hate it.

If you are a Partner, post the issue here in the Partner Retail forum here:

    http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/partnerdynamicsrms

If not, post in the newly returned public POS newsgroup here; http://tinyurl.com/59aso

I went down that road and it still won't sync,

They have a New Server 2008 R2 and it seems to be a SQL screw up somewhere, It seems to point that its a security issue because both registers are having the same problem.

I ended up putting the full blown SQL Enterprise on the register and it still fails.

I also turned off the firewall.

    Kevin,

Try deleting and re-creating the offline database.
