Release to warehouse

Hi all,

If I have 5 identical Production orders with 3 BOM items stored in different locations being released to the warehouse, for 5 different customers, I currently get warehouse work released per customer.

Being the same BOM items, this means I will be going back to the same location multiple times, determined by the Production order.

Is there a way of releasing to warehouse by exception so it creates 1 warehouse work for 1 of the BOM items for me to pick 5 at once making the pick more efficient in this scenario.

This isn't a scenario that often happens, however we will spot them occasionally when reviewing in the Works order screen, so we were wondering if there is a function anywhere we can select that will group these and release as one Warehouse picking work?

Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

    Release to warehouse
We have found that using the Production Floor Management workspace, then filtering by Operation, multiple selecting the items > release to warehouse, will release 1 wave for the multiple items in the specific location, as long as there is stock on-hand available.

    RE: Release to warehouse

    Hi,

You can use the overpicking scenario for one work and cancel the other ones. otherwise, there is no standard feature that convers this need for production processes.

    Regards,
