OCR options

Hi, 
I was researching a suitable OCR integration for Business Central and so far the only services I have found are solutions for accounts payable. Our company would like to use this technology for various different types of documents (e.g. vehicle documentation) - to scan such documents (that typically come in standardized formats) and have them uploaded to correct fields in the Business Central.
Is there a provider on the market able to do that or a way to have that implemented?

    Hi,
     
    I am not sure if Incoming Documents would work for you within Business Central but the link below does suggest that there are compatible OCR services available on appsource.
     
     
    Our company tends to use Continia but that has only been around accounts payable, expense management but most recently delivery notes.  With Continia you can create new document categories so it might be worth a look.

    Hi
    There are certainly some on the market, the one that sounds the most I would say is Document Capture from Continia, and it has native facilities for reading purchase invoice documents and purchase credit notes, but from what I have read they also have the possibility of scaling to any other type of document, in addition to offering the possibility that you can extend some things.

    I'm not sure if this company can help you with vehicle documentation scanning, but you may reach out to them to understand if they are able to.
