Sharepoint Website for Dynamics GP Workflow on SBS 2011

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have a client who is running Dynamics GP 2013 on the supported configuration of a SQL 2008 Server utilizing the SBS 2011 Premium license and they want to install Workflow to integrate with the SharePoint 2010 on the main SBS server.  We have GP Web Services Run time installed on the SQL Server and can connect to the Web Services ports, but have run into an issue when we tried to install the Workflow for SharePoint 2010 onto the SBS Server.  It installed correctly and allowed us to select the Web Service ports on the SQL Server and we selected the CompanyWeb website as the default website for Workflow.  The installation appears to have run without error, but there are no GP WorkFlow changes or additions to the CompanyWeb website.

I thought it might require a separate website, so I utilized the SharePoint Manager to create one called GPWorkFlow, but when I tried to uninstall GP WorkFlow to re-install and point it to the new website, it gives me an error saying the selected website is not a SharePoint site and that the repair or uninstall of Workflow for Microsoft Dynamics has failed.

Is there a process to manually remove WorkFlow from the SBS Server, so I can re-install it to point to the new SharePoint website?

How do I access the Fix It tool?

There is no way to manually remove it from that site Mark. The best you could do is use the Fix it tool to uninstall Workflow from the machine and then try to install it to another site. There isn't a easy cleanup for something like this.
