Landed Cost Positive Variance Decreasing Inventory Value

Before I start throwing stones, I wanted to check and see if anyone else has run into this issue or believes there could be a logical reason behind it...

We receive inventory and accrue LC into Site 1.

We use an in-transit transfer and ultimately move inventory to Site 2.

We later receive LC inventory for Site 1 receipt and it's greater than the accrual. We match to the receipt and select revalue.

After this invoice, our "current cost" for that item goes down as well as the overall inventory value.

How/why (outside of bug) would a positive cost adjustment on LC REDUCE the overall inventory value.

Nothing has been sold here. Cost is FIFO.

Thanks all,

Kyle

Did you get any further on this - I have been hoping for an update as it made me curious about the cause....
