Demo AX7 for Developers

Hello community,

I want to learn AX 7, but not the theory I will like to have access to a demo or training environment.

Can someone tell me how can I get on-premise version of AX7 (Business 365)?

I don't want to pay Azure fee, I don't know if I need to pay anyway with on-premise version/

Thanks!

    Hi Tatiana,

If you are affiliated with a customer or partner, you would be able to get access to a downloadable VM. Before that, your organization should have gotten an invitation or applied for a trial.

Note that AX7 is now called Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations which is part of Enterprise, not Business.

Hi Andre, do you have the link to the VM download? I searched before but didn't found it.

    Thanks!

    Hi Tatiana,

If you have access to Dynamics 365 LCS projects, you can choose to deploy an environment and select the option to deploy locally. Then you will be directed to the download link. I'm not entitled to provide this link in public.

so as per you, you have got ability to login on LCS and you can create a Dynamics365 project from LCS.

    Lovely!

Now, can you share, what steps you have taken where its forcing you to go through azure? probably you can add some supporting screenshots from LCS.

    Hi Tatiana Garcia Ramos,

So you actually don't have access to Dynamics 365 for Operations. You need to go through this article to get access to it, there is a link how to request a trial as well ax.help.dynamics.com/.../sign-up-for-a-microsoft-dynamics-rainier-preview-subscription after that you will see new type of project where you can download VM or deploy it to Azure.

You can see a plus(+) sign which is having some description also, titled as Environments.

Click that+ sign and select Local
