batch posting status in in-house system

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I've created an integration for a Receivables and Cash Receipt transactions that create batches, and I need to reflect in an external system the status of a given transaction (ie. Integrated in GP, Posted in GP). Is there a way to post the batches from within the integration? If not how about posting through any other code? Web Services?

Failing that, if I have to rely on the users to post manually,  is there at least way to determine through any code or sql if a given batch was posted? Is there any type of event or notification that can be handled/captured?

Thanks

Lukasz

Thanks for the help. I've decided to go with the examination of table states of various tables to determine the state of the batch and all documents in it. I'm only beginning to learn of various tables on how a transaction flows through. I've determined that a freshly created transaction will appear in RM10301 and posted transactions are moved to RM20101

    Hi,

There is no such option from web services or econnect to post the batches.

There are some 3rd party tools available on the market to post the batches. Check the batch approval functionality which is a new feature released with GP2015.

Check the below given link for Automatically post batches in Dynamics GP:

    dynamicsgpland.blogspot.in/.../automatically-post-batches-in-dynamics.html

From Professional Service Tools Library there is a tool "Auto Post" which is a free of cost.

Check the options available and choose the best which suits you.

In order to find the Batch status, check the batch master table SY00500.
