Could not schedule setvalue for property transdate: update access to property not granted

Hi everyone,

One of our users received the message Could not schedule setvalue for property transdate: update access to property not granted when trying to publish lines via the Excel add in.

I believe the user is missing some permissions. Does anyone know which duties/privileges should the user have for this to be enabled?

Regards,

Teodora

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Teodora,

Can you provide more information? Which data entity is used? Is it a standard or entity with customizations? Does the same publish work without this error if it is done by a system administrator? Not being able to update a field could also be a limitation due to a design choice.

We have resolved the issue by creating a custom role for the user.

    Thanks for the support.

Can you please post the resolution? I'm facing the same issue using open in excel.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, please post the solution to this.  I have a similiar issue  .. "Error message: 'Could not schedule SetValue for property DateValue: update access to property not granted'

I suspect this is permission related. Do you get the same issue if you set the user permission to system administrator?

I am having the same issue, the user can edit the field when in D365, but when attempting to update the field using a flow and his credentials, I receive the same error as above:

An error has occurred.  Could not schedule SetValue for property PartyNumber: update access to property not granted clientRequestId: b802980c-b92e-48c6-b467-0fe32897d86e

    Hi KariChmiel,

First try if it works with system administrator access. If that is the case, it is due to missing permissions. If you get the same error with system administrator access, it would be an intended limitation. I can image that a PartyNumber would not be allowed to be manually changed for a lot of entities.
