How to customize the print forms.

Hi All,

So I want  to print an ID card based on some information from a single custom entity. It will have some information and not all from that entity along with the contact picture. How do I do this?

Usually a print preview will show everything along with some fields you have hidden through JavaScript.

SO do I need to enter into the realm of BIDS? and then how do I show that report on the click of print button?

    Yeah, there's no efficient way of using the OOB Print feature for your requirement. You will have to develop a SSRS report to achieve this.

    So lets say I have created a report in BIDS, now how do I make sure that when print command in given for a certain record of a custom entity, that report shows up for print and not the usual print layout?

    When you develop a report, you are essentially running a report and printing the data from the SSRS Report Viewer. You will not be using the OOB CRM Print function. All you will now have to do is to select the new report, run it and print the report.
