Cannot install R3 reporting extensions due to Ax Installer crashing

When I try to install the reporting extensions the AxInstaller crashes just after after performing post installations step . I am running SQL 2012 SP2, Windows server 201R2 with current updates. The iso has been extracted and setup is ran as installer.

Clean compile and CIL, all service accounts are valid. I can get to the report server config utility with no issues, and run <server>/Reports an <server>/ReportServer pages with no errors.

I have downloaded the Ax2012R3 iso and the same issue persists.

Suggestions?

    MAJOR BUMP!

Hit this issue when building a fresh development installation twice!

The log shows only one issue:

2015-10-14 15:05:58Z Performing a service status check for prerequisite 'Application Object Server (AOS) Services WSDL URI accessible'.

    2015-10-14 15:06:24Z Check succeeded.

    2015-10-14 15:06:24Z services check failed

Just think the last line is important but there is not really an info as with the other checks it does.

When I navigate to the bottom of the log file is ends on the statement:

    2015-10-14 15:06:36Z === Starting execution phase ===

2015-10-14 15:06:57Z Executing database rights script.

I've tried everything imaginable, rebuilding CIL, redeploying BIServices service group, adding bcp, aos and install account into local admins, into SSRS Manager as System admins.

I get no error just the setup application closing. So not sure what else I have to go on.

Any suggestions would be massively appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

have you ever installed reporting extensions on this Server before?

If yes, please remove as first.

Base on your Error, I think because of miss match Verison of AX, current AX verison is R3 original and reporting extensions that you are installing is R3 CU9, check version again and let us know.

Base on your log file, I didn't catch anything. Please go to installation log file and search "error" keyword.

This is installation process, You dont need to do CIL
