Interface from AOT Table

Hi,

I just want to ask if there is a way to see a table from AOT in the AX interface?  I can't seem to locate the customized table that was made by our previous AX partner, in our AX interface.  I can only see the table via AOT.  Hope you can provide insights.

Best regards,
Edmond

    Hi,

Can I know which interface are you referring to.In general, tables are accessible through Application explorer on Visual Studio and programatically through .Net business connector.

    Hi Chaitanya,

By interface, I meant AX Form.  We want to view it since it involves a setup/parameter that we have to check/change.  Currently, we have visited every setups and parameters available in AX but we can't seem to find that customized form.  We can only see it via AOT tables.

    Best regards,

    Edmond

    Hi,

Please check whether you have necessary security permissions(on display menuItem) to view it. Also, if you are not sure about the path, you can access the form directly through AOT(\Forms\FormName).

    Hi Sukrut,

I might have confused you.  We can only see the table via AOT but via AX form, we can't seem to locate it.

    Best regards,

    Edmond

    Hi,

Alternatively you can check the property "FormRef" on the table to know the form name.

In AX 2009 it is not enough to run the Cross References / update from the AOT. You have to run from the Development tools menu/ Cross ref/ update. Alternatively, action menu item XRefUpdate.
