Project Server integration incorrect "SLTaskid too long" message

Error message with Dynamics SL 2011 integrated with Project server 2010. Taskid is longer than 20 characters  allowed but the  taskid in flexkey definition is 21 characters, and the task in question is also 21 characters.

    I seem to recall that I read somewhere that a workaround is to add another segment to the flexkey but we already use all the segments
