Hello Team,

While performing shipping from the POS for serialized product i was unable to perform ship because of this error message.

Shipping serialized products from POS is not supported.

I have gone through the documentation i dint find any information saying that serialized is not supported in POS - Work with serialized items in the POS - Commerce | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn 

Enabled the feature "Enhanced serial number validation in POS order capture and order fulfillment" and checked again but it dint make any difference 


Below is tracking dimension setup for the item. 





Can you please confirm if i am missing any setup or it is by design

    Sure, will wait for your reply, also just curious on how are you doing the order fulfillment in POS? Are you just clicking on the ship button and you are facing this error? If yes, please try to pick, pack and ship seperately one-by-one and review as well.

    Thank you for the information. I reckon the "Capture Serial Number" works only when purchase of item is being processed through inbound operation.
    However, i will make changes to this field and verify if this helps in shipping the serialized product in POS.  Post my answer here.  Thank you

    Shipping serialized products from POS is not supported.
    This is supported and looks like you've missed to define the 'Capture serial number' parameter in the tracking dimension group, this will let the POS know when to ask for the serial number input during order fulfillment, like whether during picking / packing etc. Once edited please run the relavant CDX jobs to push the update.
     
    NOTE: This parameter is only used for customer order transactions and for the regular retail transaction the POS will ask to enter serial number everytime when the product is scanned / keyed in.
     
    Also make sure that you run the following batch jobs from HQ under the Retail & Commerce > Retail & Commerce IT > Products & inventory.
    1. Run 'Product Availability'
    2. Run 'Product availability with tracking dimension'
    Once the above 2 are run execute 1130 CDX job and wait for it to get applied and try again. This process will ensure that we are sending the inventory snapshot details from HQ to CSU.
