How do I stop the left hand menu collapsing?

May-23 our left hand nav suddenly seems to auto-collapse after a period of inactivity - how do I stop this happening either for all my users or allow individuals to choose  - it's a complete inconvenience for our system admins and data stewards who are constantly jumping around comparing screens/data and de-duping?
