I need to prevent a contact from registering more than once in the same session or event
Hi jefersondc,
By default system will recognize each event registration as unique record.
A workaround is that you could combine "Contact" field and "Event" field of Event Registration entity as an alternate key to make each event registration as unique.
(Advanced Settings(top right gear icon) > Settings > Customization > Customize the System > Keys > Event Registration > Key)
If contact registers event again, the new record will be prevented by system due to values of contact and event field are same.
