Database Maintenance Does Not Display Application Databases

Hopefully someone can answer this in a quick period of time.  I know this topic has been mentioned on several forums.

I am building a completely new network and old programs are not being moved to the new network.  We are currently running SL 2011 with SQL 2012.  I backed up the system and application databases and moved them to the new network.  The installation is SL 2015 on SQL 2014 on a Windows 2012 R2 Server.  When we upgraded from 7 to 2011, I used the links below and it worked.  Now they are not.  I have verified everything and it is correct.  Even restored the databases as new names and made the correct entries.  Still no luck.

Any other suggestions?

I have tried https://community.dynamics.com/sl/f/35/t/65414.aspx, http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/875704 and https://mbs2.microsoft.com/Knowledgebase/kbdisplay.aspx?wtntzsmnwukntmmyutmzwvzsqtwwunttvkwwuwruuppuuwkp

    Bill,

There was a similar sounding post on this form just a week or two back.  Try this linked and scroll down to the response from Cory and see if that might be your issue.

I figured it out.  I was updating the servername with machinename\instance.  But I was use and Alias for the server and that is what it was looking for.  I created a new database and looked at the domain table to see what it displayed.

Is may sound stupid, but, have you launched and instance in SQL server with the databases in it?

Sorry, I missed the previous posts.
