Smart list question - user can see some reports but not others (that he's used before)

No security has changed - I'm not sure where to check to see why he can see some smartlist reports but not others (in the same section, ie Sales Transactions)

Any suggestions?

If you open up the Smartlist Favorite and click on Favorites, what does the "Visible To" say?  If it's not System or Company maybe try switching it to one of those and clicking Modify to see if he can then see it (he may need to log all the way out).

    IT DOES SAY 'SYSTEM'

    Deanne,

Has he ever been able to see these SmartLists? Is it just a Favorite he cannot see or is it the entire SmartList Object?

    Kind regards,

    leslie

Yes, Leslie!  That's why he knows that the reports exists.  I can see them as 'sa'.  It's just some reports - ie, under the Sales category, he can see some reports but a lot are missing.  I went through each report and they do say 'system' so I know that they weren't 'favorite' reports.

    Hi Deanne,

I think the items that you looked at to see if it said 'system', are what they call Favorites. It's GP 'ease'. Just to make sure we're both on the same page, on the screenshot below I've pointed to an Object and a Favorite.

I don't want to say the wrong thing, but at the risk of sounding stupid, I'll ask again. Can he see the Object Sales, but not some of the Favorites below it?

He can see the Objects and some 'Favorites'.  I've looked at the favorites that he cannot see (but he has seen before) and they are available to 'system'

Yeah, that's definitely odd.  There's not really any security to the favorites that I'm aware of other than the visible to field.  A couple of things I would try:

    1) Switch the Visible To to Company, click Modify.  Then switch it back to System and click Modify.  And see if he can then see it.

    2) If you create a new favorite under Sales Transactions, does he see it?

UGH - now I stand corrected - the end user just showed me that some of the objects are missing.  IE - he can see 'Receivables Transactions' under Sales but not Sales Line Items or Sales Transactions.

Now you are dealing with security (even though you said it wasn't changed, something must have).  You'd need to look at the roles and tasks the user has assigned to him.  For one of those tasks, the Smartlist Objects will need to be added (unless you want to add another task to one of their roles).

Here's a quick screenshot on how to add Sales Line Items and Sales Transactions:

    Hi Matt,

    This should fix her up!
