Dynamics 365 Portals - Two distinct experiences

Is it possible to have two distinct web experiences with Portals? Say one if I log in as a student, and another if I log in as a staff member? Same dynamics back-end, two portal experiences, with different pages, content etc?

How is this possible?

Thanks

    Hi kphenix,

I would suggest you create two Websites in the same Dynamics CRM back end.

    1. Staff Portal (staffportal.contoso.com)

    2. Student Portal (studentportal.contoso.com)

Create a Web Role called "Staff" and associate it with Staff Portal Website

Create a Web Role called "Student" and associate it with Student Portal Website

The same contact may be assigned "Staff Portal > Staff" web role and "Student Portal > Student" web role.

For more information about Web Roles, see below.

But then how do you control modules? Content in modules (student vs staff articles / blog posts etc)

By defining web page/form and entity form access control to a group of users; you can configure this

You can also have button redirect on different URLs based on the web role of logged in user

So if you want a student and staff portal experience you create two web roles and then for each page you give or remove access? But then how do you control modules? Content in modules (student vs staff articles / blog posts etc)

    Thanks!
