Deleting Records from Configuration Package

Hi:
 
When I choose to delete the records from "No. of Package Records" in a Configuration Package, the process is incredibly slow.
 
Is there a quick way for this to run or some other option?
 
FYI -- I'm not referring to deleting records form a table.  Again, I'm talking about the records within "No. of Package Records".

    I don’t believe there’s a faster way. You could re-import the data in the package, but if you have many records, it would be just as slow. Configuration packages tend to be slow when handling large volumes of data.

    As far as I know, there is only one way... This usually involves deleting the data where the error occurred. But why not delete the data in Excel before importing?
