Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail Point of Sale Transactions duplicated in AX 2012 R3

Hi:

A prospective client has a problem. The use AX Retail POS. For every 200 POS transactions, they notice that 2-3 transactions are duplicated in the AX Sales Account and Cash in Hand Account. These duplicated records also have the same Journal number.

The Z-Reports however from their POS is correct and no duplications.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi Steve,

At a customer on Dynamics 365 we found out that it is possible to have retail statements posted twice if they are started manually at the same time. Microsoft provided a hotfix for Dynamics 365. I suspect a similar issue can cause your problem. Check if the retail database is correct. If they are processed more than once, check if there is a hotfix available or contact Microsoft Support.
