This is my every queston to this community.
Context: If we are using a device based FS license, and the device is going to be shared by 2-3 users; how best can we identify who (the individual) has logged into the device. I uderstand that we will be using a service account to log in to the device (a mobile tablet).
Thank you Adrian. We were given the option, but that increases our license cost but a massive amount.
Is there an other way we can identify? We are open to a low end customisation as well, if natively this functionality is not available in the device based license.

Hi Kartik Balasubramanian,
You can find the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide here.
On page 6 of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide it mentions that if individual users share one login, their individual usage cannot be tracked.
"Device SL: With Device SL any number of users can access a licensed device without the need for separate User SLs:• Shared login: Customer Engagement device SLs and Operations device SL, or• Individual logins: Operations device SL without the need for separate User SLsNote, if individual users share one login, their individual usage cannot be tracked."
You will need to take the Dynamics 365 User SL approach to track individual usage.
