Hi All,

I want to grant access to a bookkeeper or other users (except power user) to create a new financial account;

Please help

RE: Security level

In case you want to grant them an access on the account maintenance window without the privilege to create new segments, new account category and general ledger setup, consider the security task:

CARD_0101* | The ability to create all types of accounts and to mass modify accounts. Also includes the Account list, preview, and customization.

Otherwise, in case you want to extend their abilities to include the setup mentioned initially, consider the following security task as well;

CARD_0101* | Set up the General Ledger module, account categories, segments and transaction matching setup.

In order to do that, you can create a customized security role with the required security tasks mentioned above, or either create new security task to reflect your specific needs.

To reach the security task, go to Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > System > Security task.

Choose one of the predefined tasks mentioned above, then include the following:

Product: Microsoft Dynamics GP

Type: Window

Series: Financial
