How to Read/Get license information from .flf license file

Hello,

I'm receiving a number of .flf license files from partners to help them make the correct choice in terms of the BREP to CSP transition promo.

Is there a way to read the license information contained in the file ?

Mind you, I do not have any dynamics environment myself, so I would need to find a way to get the information contained in the FLF file.

Origin can be any version of NAV, AX ....

Yes, Notepad is first try, it will give you an overview of what is in the license.

The rest of the license is binary, so it cannot be modified (or people could make their own licenses in Notepad). If you have access to a NAV system, you can run pages based on virtual tables "License Permission" and "Permission Range" to see what individual objects the license contains. But it wont show you I think what you need, about what type of license / what commercial conditions are in the license. But I tink this is about everything you can get from the license file itself.

Yes, that is all part of the key and other things that make the licence work.

The details are in-between the stars telling you what modules and the header will will tell you the main version.

This examples is from 2018 and shows the Pack, Amount of users and concurrent users, tables pages and code units as well as the region/localisation.

I indeed already tried notepad, but I'm not sure it contains al the needed information.

There's al lot of unreadable data?

I have no background in NAV or AX, so it's very hard to tell if I'm getting all the details.
