Hi, has anyone done in place upgrade for Dynamics GP? I downloaded the 18.3 installation files, but when I tried to run the setup.exe file there is no option to upgrade. There is a msp file in the updates folder, I ran that file and it seems to upgrade the GP to 18.3 and I was able to run the GP Utilities to upgrade the companies. But I'm not sure if this is the proper way of doing it. There doesn't seem to be many discussions on the forums about in place upgrade. Thanks.
You'll need to download the service pack. (Installed from the DVD image is more like a "repair" and the Update folder may not be the latest GP 18.3 version.)
It includes everything to get you current (to 18.7) but you can review the versions and service pack information/links on that page, including for GP 18.3.
