MS CRM 4.0 | How to know how many custom application screens and Iframes are in use

Hi All,

Scenrio:

I am working on migration project. From MS CRM 4.0 to MS CRM 2013. One of the action item for me is updating the custom application screens code to use Organization service of CRM 2013 in place of 4.0 old services.

I have got the custom application code with. But I don't know how many of the custom application screens are actually used by the CRM system and at how many places.

One approach or me to is to manually check for all entities and in that their forms for Iframe.

But if it too much time consuming.

Question:

Thus, want to know is there any mechanism to know where iframes are used and futher the custom application screen path of them.

Thought:

I had tried looking out for a database table which would be storing all these custom application settings and or iframe settings. Unfortunately, could not find it.

    Hello,

You can download your customization.xml file from MS CRM 4.0 and can check entity definition there (simply search for iframe keword) you should be able to get all iframe reference and entity names there.

    Hope it will help.

If there is any call using java script or any navigation link for custom pages, you should get pointer in customization.xml only, you could also download isv.config file which will help you to identify any customization done for isv button to call custom windows or pages.
