Unable to install the Management Reporter

Hi guys.

I have installed this component many times before. And directly from the AX Setup (AX2012R3CU13).

The thing is now I left this component for the last component to be installed I now that I need it and I cannot get it to work.

The log says to main errors:

Error n1.

Checking SQL Server version; result: 13.0.4001.0

Hi Nestor,

I believe you are using SQL server version 2016. The AX MR installer works with SQL 2012 as far as I have seen.

Could you please download the latest MR version from here and try? You will need customer source/ partner source credentials to access this.

The very latest MR versions should work with SQL 2016.

Please make sure that you are implementing MR CU16 and not an older MR version.

If you have ensured this and things are still stuck then it might be a good idea to reach out to the MS support team for some additional help.

Hi Gunjan.

I have installed the MR CU16 from the customer service. and Now the services are running, even the viewer is connected to the localhost.

but now when I try to add the companies by installing the Data Mart for AX 2012 I get an error:

Configuring data mart adapter with settings: Server: servername, Database: ManagementReporterDM, User name: , Windows auth: True, Encrypt connection: False

Machine: servername

Hi Gunjan,

I really would like to know what is the permission that I am lacking off and why. Is it possible to know that?

I know i have tried many times before even with the same account and there were no problems.

Hi Nestor,

I have always installed with the AOS account and hence did not face any permission issues. Which account are you installing with?

I have tried with two different accounts,

both administrators. One has expiring password and the other doesn't . both sysadmin in SQL.

Well,

I have resintalled everything the same administrator installator as the service account, and now is working.... but that was not the idea
