Unfortunately, the object block variable error is the second most common catch-all error (well, it could be the first or the third most common) so the cause could be most anything.
You have not mention if you tried re-installing the FRx client on this workstation or not but you should try that. You should also, since this is SP12, try running the FRxreg67.cmd file from the workstation. that file is located in the FRx folder on the server. It must be run as a user with local admin rights so you should probably right click it and select run as administrator.
Here is one more thing to look at. On the server, in the FRx folder, open the FRx32.cfg file with NotePad and look at the line for Directory. This indicates where FRx was installed. If that is a mapped drive, make sure that the workstation has that same drive letter mapped as does functional workstations.
1) The 2 users can sign on the machines that are working just fine so it is not a user ID issue.
2) The 2 users having issues (Regina and Philip) are on 32 bit and 64 bit respectively
3) The 2 users have the same writes as the users that work
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
1. Do the issue occur, if they start FRx from another workstation?
2. What operating system are you using FRx on?
A. Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?
3. There are five directories that the user must have full control (Read/Write/Execute) over in order to successfully use FRx. Please verify this. The directories are as follows:
A. FRx Code Directory: usually in C:/Program Files.
B. IO_Data: usually within the FRx Code Directory.
C. SysData: sometimes within the FRx Code Directory, or frequently located on an external server. The path for this directory can be found by opening the FRx32.cfg file that is located in the FRx code folder.
D. MSInfo: found in Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared.
E. Temp: found directly on the hard disk drive (i.e. C:/Temp).
F. System32: found in the WINDOWS directory. This needs at least Read and Execute permissions.
Thank you,
Microsoft
