I am new to Management reporter. I was wondering if someone could provide me steps to adjusting the base period for the balance sheet.

Thanks

Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

Are you asking about how to post adjustment entries in GP.   If you wanted to know how to build balance sheet in management reporter please have a look this very good tutorial by Mr.Steve Chapman

Babu has provided a good place to start if you are new to the Management Reporter tool.  There are numerous resources on the web, one of my favorites can be found at the following link:

In answer to your question, how do you change your base period in your balance sheet, this can be done from the Report Definition for your Balance Sheet on the main Report tab by selecting the Default Base Period drop down list. You can select SYS for System Date, S+/- for System date plus or minus a period or two, CUR for Current Period in GP, or C+/-  for Current Period plus or minus a period or two, and finally, you can choose 01, which means you want to pick the period your are running the report for every time you run it.

It is also possible you were looking to update/change the period in the Column Definition, which seems less likely. If you are looking to edit the Column Definition, you can open ti from the same location as you choose the Default base period. If you look at the bottom left of the image above, you will see the Column selection for the Report Definition... clicking on the icon to the right of the selection will open up the Column Definition for edit.
