Hi All,

I have a 1: N relationship between entity A and entity B. Have a lookup field of entity A on Entity B.

I want to auto-populate the fields of entity A on entity B form after a value is selected within the lookup field(Entity A).

How could I do the same?

Please suggest!

    Hi,

I believe I might know what you are asking.  I do not want to assume.

Would you send a screenshot of what you are trying to do or if not.

My question would be is this auto-populate happening when you are saving the entity.

If so, use a web api or plugin.

    Hi,

Without writing any code you can achieve this by usinga feature called "Mapping" within D365 CE. Please have a look at the following link that explains in detail.

    Hi,

You can achieve that in a WF.

    1. Create a WF for Entity A
    2. Trigger is the change of Lookup Field (Entity B)
    3. Update Entity, select Entity B from related entities
    4. Populate the necessary fields in properties

    Regards,
