Dyanmics GP Multilingual Descriptions

We are attempting to create customers and items with the customer name and the item descriptions in Japanese characters, but get question marks (????) when loading the data. It does not matter if we try to use integration or copy paste. Is there a means of creating the descriptions in the foreign characters?

As noted in the other forum post regarding this question this is probably has to do with what Mahmoud mentioned.

You need to primarily check two main things which are not related to Dynamics GP (application level), the SQL Server collation and the regional settings and language on the machine.
